On a Tuesday afternoon in mid-May, Mr Ray Licence took the Prep students for some nature study activities, including a nature walk around the school ground and an experiment to test what foods a meat ant colony prefer.

In mid-March, ten Year 7 and 8 students spent the day exploring Queen Mary and Brown’s Falls, they were accompanied by Mrs Ronda Mattarollo, Mrs Christina Butterworth and Mr Ray Licence.

Towards end-February the Year 8 class went to Leslie Dam to participate in two activities under the guidance of a YMCA instructor. In the morning, students were given two challenges to solve in indoor exercises, and in the afternoon the students were required to work in teams to build rafts.

In late July the Year 9 class completed their Outdoor Education sessions for this year with a hike up Mount Cordeaux, and then out to Bare Rock.

During their Outdoor Education lesson in early July, the Grade 1 students enjoyed discovering the different rocks as well as plants and trees growing near the riverbed.
